im looking for a old adventure game and okami keeps popping up. is it a good buy? is the story zelda like??

It's the greatest game of all time. Buy it now.
And it has the best story ever.

I got this game for the Wii, and while the gameplay is there and the graphics are great, I just couldn't get into it. If it's cheap, buy it. You will probably enjoy it. If it's over $20, then buy at your own risk. I recommend going to youtube and watching some gameplay videos of it. If it looks like your kind of thing, then go for it.

the story isn't Zelda like. Zelda stories are much more concise, okami is just long, wordy, and confusing. 20 minutes for the opening scene and way to much talking by the flea guy (really a tiny guy who rides on a dog, so whatever)

Anyways, I thought the game was good, but I quit after I thought the game was over for the 3rd time. It drags on at the end. I would say if you are looking for a good adventure it is worth your money, but I'd take Zelda over it any day.

if you have a Wii, then buy it for the Wii.

Okami is a one of the greatest games I've played go buy it you won't be disoppointed.

As an artistic thing, it has no equal, it's simply beautiful. On the gameplay side, though, it's different, the game is very repetitive, it lacks depth and challenge, and it becomes boring. I'd recommend playing it some hours to check it out (as I said, the first hours are great, specially because they're stunning). But after that, the game's too boring to warrant continued playing. Buy at your own risk
