Lol opinions regarding the graphics seem to be split down the middle.

The main problem I think that is deterring peoples positive views is the utterly horrendous ground textures, they are BAD in THESE screen shots, while on the other hand everything else is quite good.

I will say one thing tho, I am curious to see what Versus actually is going to come to look like so we can end this damn bickering, or at least lessen it.

the game is beautiful and it dosent need to be in HD for me too tell u that. I find it very unfortunate that some of u guys cant appreciate good art. tragic really ='(.

Ever since I have heard and read about Final Fantasy and its lore, I have been intrigued and fascinated by the series and the genre. When I played Dragon Quest VIII, I have confirmed my love for RPG's in general.


Then I have played a couple of Final Fantasy games, however, and now I am confused over why I care about them at all.


It could be because of the games that I have played. The first one I played was FFX-2, prolly the worst one in the series ever. I finished the game just to get rid of it from my life without regrets.

Then I played FFVII. I tried playing it, I really did...but I couldn't care. Maybe it was due to the graphics and my eyes just couldn't take it...I loved the NES graphics, the SNES graphics and the PS AND N64 graphics, but that game just killed my eyes...half the time I couldn't tell where Cloud was within the background. Once I was able to go to the world map, I felt so lost I just lost the will to go on.

Then came FFXII. I played that game....hours upon hours...The game felt good, interesting, etc. Then, I started to care less about the story. Slowly I felt no reason to care about having the Princess get her kingdom back. Then I stopped caring about the unique battle system. Finally, I just stopped all together. I found myself just playing the game like a zombie, staring at the TV, moving the joystiq, watching the characters fight the monsters on their own, go to the next part, rinse and repeat.

Now, I am on FFIV for the DS and I am liking it very much. Hopefully I don't get bored with it, but I like the story a lot and it feels engaging when compared to the other FFs I have played. Whether this is a hint as to which generation of FF games appeal to me, I don't know yet but I hope not.

Will I be looking forward to this new FF? Sure. Will I be highly optimistic? Doubt it. I just hope that when I am in the middle of the game, I would actually have the will to finish and not be bored with it.

hmmm what the hell is up with the flat grasslands and the flat grounds in general =_=;;;; I'd rather it stay grey if the grounds are all flat like that.

I would not go down without a fight if you aren't permabanned for spoiling the ending of a game as story driven as Final Fantasy.

The character and monster models look nice, but the ground was too flat. Real ground has... bumps....and..you know..plants... not plant-like decals painted and endlessly repeated.

1st and last screen could be easily done on the Wii i believe

MAYBE the first, but definitely not the last screen. Wait until you see the high res screens before you jump the gun and make ridiculous claims.
