This thread is about the greatest game ever: Dink Smallwood! Dink Smallwood is a game you can download for free here. The game includes a very powerful editor which allows you to make your own game. Hundreds of fan-made adventures can also be found here.

I doubt many of you ever heard of this game, but you should really check it out. It's seriously the best piece of software to create your own game from scratch I've ever seen.

So what's this game about? The game is very Zelda-like but with very sadistic humor (beating pigs, headless ducks, some dude hitting your aunt so you kill his sorry ass, etc.) and ofcourse the magnificent editor.

Someone is porting this game with all its mods to the PSP, and it's already playable in a form. The game is also playable in Linux.

Haha, this game was hilarious!  I havent played it in ages, but it was a hell of a game for freeware.

Might have to fire her up again.  Guess I shouldn't be so surprised there are still people playing/supporting this game.  The power of the internet!

I would have thought you VGChartz people would be cool enough for Dink Smallwood. Has no one besides cool mister Epoch heard of this game? If not, go download it!

Im actually pretty stoked that its being modded to the PSP.  I'll definitely be getting that, any word on when it might be ready?

i remember it from the time when i got my modem in late 1999. i found this game on CNET back then(dunno if this site still exist) - loved it.
there's a psp version of this? hell yeah. another classic for my psp - i've got tons of those little homebrew games/remakes on my psp.

Correct, but not quite. It's Frogger made from the ground up in the Dink Smallwood engine. Just to show how versatile the editor is. You can create almost anything as long as it's 2D.
