Magic can work over supes good.
Well it depends on the writer.
Magic "effects him like anything else would."
So it ends up having varying levels of effectiveness. Sometimes it effects him as if he were a Kryptonian on his home planet (IE regular human.) Othertimes it just does slightly more damage.
Nature of comics though.
