Since you asked. And keep in mind, this is just my opinion here; I am not SO upset. But it is infact an expansion of Halo 3, there are tons of Halo spinoffs nowadays with more coming, and to me, it seems like the blind acceptance of anything with the name Halo on it just perpetuates a bad cycle that developers will continue to follow through with. You ask; why am I upset with the popularity of ODST? are you kidding me, the game hasn't been released yet, and all of you people are just handing over your money already without considering what it is that you are actually buying. People need to wake up. Just because there is a lack of anything better to purchase, does not mean that this "halo game" needs to be purchased. Where is the compassion, where is the uniqueness of something new. See things for what they are- and this is just something for Microsoft to make money, and to fill the void. You ask; why am I upset with the "popularity" of ODST I ask; Why would I not be? |
The way I understand your reason for being upset about ODST is like this: Something is wrong with people being excited about and being willing to pay $60 for a game that hasn't been released yet, as if it's so hard to believe. Yet you judge the game in a negative way....without it being released yet. "Just because there is a lack of anything better to purchase" ????????????? And how do you know what the quality of this Halo game will be? Do you know enough to be able to compare it to other games that may or may not be available for purchase at the time of it's release? I'm sure that ODST won't be the next big leap in gaming but if it's enough for fans to have some new maps with new weapons and see a different story from the Halo realm then so what.
I know, I know, I saw the disclaimer about it only being your opinion....and I respect that. Halo ODST really shouldn't be something that upsets you though.
I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.
