Forums - Gaming - So, How Many People Actually Buy Stuff Over ( XBLA Or The PSN ) ?

I have a wii but i feel like this question could include the nintendo channel. I don't buy much at all. I actually have a 20$ wii points card that I've never activated because i'm just not thta interested in downloadables

Around the Network

By far the most has been bought off PSN. Lots of music tracks, somewhere between 15-20 games and the occasional add ons. Add Home purchases and I figure I've probably spent maybe $250-300 over the past couple years.

Storage had not been a problem with the Wii, even before they added the SD storage option (easily the best memory expansion option Nintendo could have implemented), but so far it's only been VC games, which typically take minimal space anyway.

Xbox360 has become the redheaded step child of the hardware collection, for two basic reasons: 13GB of space for everything from demos, videos, game installs, etc. And the lack of an internal WiFi adapter (about an $8-10 part).

None of my consoles are by my router, meaning I have to move the console and plug it in when I want to do updates, downloads, etc. Naturally I don't do this unless I have an extremely good reason to do so. So, lack of onboard wifi has meant I don't use the Xbox to play online.

MS was right to upgrade the basic drive to 60GB; too bad I don't use it enough to merit spending another $100 on one. That money would be better spent on a 500GB drive for another PS3.

So, two basic oversights that have kept me from using the Xbox online regularly for lost sales in the hundreds. XBL subscriptions fees are better spent buying content instead as well.

Also, scottie, the issue with WiiWare/VC is that it's difficult to get any target figures for online penetration as well as frequency of the users downloading products.

'snot that hard. You just gotta go to this wonderful site here

The WW/VC posts never have data about users. That was my point.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
