1/ YES it should have been a great move for Sony
2/ PES2008 PS3 version is about the same than the Xbox360 version. There are a little more frame rate issue but if you install the game on the harddrive u cannot solve most these problems. The 2 versions are overall quite similar.
3/ PES2008 is a bad version of PES !
the game is too quick and you dont have enought penality when you have the ball meaning you can run at maximumu speed even when you have the ball (for example, Thierry Henry is insanely difficult to catch !)
4/ The PS2 version is simply better with no frame rate issue and less change to the gameplay
5/ FIFA08 is a great FIFA. FIFA08 kill PES2008 in term of gfx and his gameplay is less arcade than usual (when PES is less simulation than usal)
6/ overall, PES fan will not buy this PES or take the PS2 version or even swith to FIFA !
7/ NO it is not a so good move for Sony, the 430 euros bundle will improve the sales but no so much ...
8/ YES a true NEXT gen PES (maybe in 2009) would have dramatically improved the sales of the PS3 in europe (particularly in France)
