There were rumours of an elite type edition that included all future DLC and some other bits and bobs. Any new of this?

I think you are confusing it with the last year "leak" by the suvey group (which btw, are all accurate from the avatar to forza 3 to that crappy Spiderman game).

What they are planning to do is for next year, instead of Forza 4, they are going to upgrade the game engine and make it Forza 3 expansion pack, whereby you get all the previously release DLC for the last year and update game engine.

The VIP is membership like Bungie Premium club where you get extra storage space to store you video and new cars and perks.
