This notion that Valve is a crap developer is by and large the worst fanboy drivel i've ever read on a forum. I expect this kind of commentary from gamefaqs; not on a board that is percieved to be a tad more mature. I urge you to not only look at Valve's catalog, not only look at how inspirational their titles have been for countless programmers/designers & would-be programmers/designers, but also what they've contributed to the industry that HASN'T been a game.

Saying valve is a "crap developer" is NOT true; their middleware has been used in more titles than you can imagine, and they are the industry leaders as far as games are concerned, as far as post-launch support is concerned, and as far as a delivery method is concerned. There's something called Steam, you might've heard of it, that bests any other method of digital distribution (in terms of gaming of course).

I'm sorry you won't be able to play Left 4 Dead 2 on your playstation 3, but please, take your head out of your ass, it's like you didn't even read the article. At the heart, Valve along with any other company that makes and or publishes games is still a business; the return they would see on any playstation 3 software they create wouldn't be worth the money spent on making the product. It's less of a statement of "we can't do this" and more of a statement of "we won't do this".

Those guys say it pretty well. And if you look at the thread you will see me calling them lazy too. But unlike Valve Sony publishes SP games so SP probablly doesn't have a choice.

There's no logic behind his argument.  Don't look for an intelligent discussion.  This same person will flame someone for saying they hope game X comes to the Wii.  He's a fanboy plain and simple, and he will complain about and flame any decision or statement that doesn't benefit his console of choice. 

Valve owes Sony and Sony fanboys nothing.  It's Sony's fault for making a console that's difficult to program for.  They assumed dev's would suck it up because the userbase was going to own all others, but that never happened, and devs are going elsewhere.
