If you're not squeamish about releasing/fastening a single small screw, go with the cheaper version and upgrade the HDD yourself to a decently-sized one. Here 50 euros would buy you a 250GB, 60 for a 320GB.

The price drop is coming but nobody knows when. I doubt they'll announce it more then a week in advance. If it doesn't happen right before Madden, it could be as late as October.

If you dont care for the Slim then buy it when you feel like and I suggest buy it new (something off about Gamestop and their refurbish products i dont trust). Get the 80gb at least because with new DLC coming and PSN games etc etc a 40gb might fill up faster than you think. And all the games you've mentioned are all great titles.

I replaced my 40 gig HD with a 350 GB HD for like $50 get the 40 gig if it's cheaper.

Which 80GB is it? Is the the one with the memory card slots and the 4 USB ports on front? If so get that one, it was the last one with PS2 BC. If this doesnt matter get the 40GB and upgrade the HDD, it only take 10 min. As for games, get inFAMOUS and Killzone 2. MGS4 is good also but that can wait, also you have to get Valkyria Chronicles.
