uh, the update is free. As far as the features like Facebook, Twitter, etc. Those services are all free with the Xbox Live Gold subscription, its only when it comes to buying things or adding things thats when money comes into play.

I'm not interested in paying for online videos, so 1080p streaming is something I don't care about. I do watch the Netflix on the xbox quite a bit, so I hope they keep expanding their catalog.
