Forums - Gaming - Edge Reviewed Halo 3, Lair, WarHawk, and PGR4

I have played it selnor and both of my friends with the game (who I have been playing it with) completed Legendary in around 10 hours (one of them was closer to 11). Personally, I haven't played the single player. My 10 hours spent on the game were all in multiplayer and online play. We also attempted online co-op but it lagged so badly we got frustrated and stopped. It is absolutely a great game, but a 10 should be a perfect game, and it's not perfect. It's easily in the 9s though.

GT, you can't use your limited experiences with motion controls to judge every game with motion controls from now on. That's ridiculous. Some games have bad motion controls and some don't. I played Superman 64 once back in the day. If I had used your logic I would have been forced to assume a Joystick could never be fun to play with.

Well good players should take 10 hours on legendary.

I know players classed as very good players online and yet could never finish it in 10 hours. Come on guys, why the fanboy posts.  If it can be done prove it with the theatre mode in Halo3. It tells you exactly how long each level tok you and what the difficulty was set on.

You obviously don't know that guy then.

And I don't know how posting fact is fanboyism.

Personally I think Halo 3 is the best game I've played just edging out Ocarina of time. So yeah I'd give it 10. Thats only my opinion tho. :)

My gamertag is Goldar. Send me the proof or post the screenshot of the theatre menu for each mission on legendary. Then it will be fact.

Why is it fanboyism to admit a small issue with a game? To the contrary it's fanboyism to be blind ot a game's faults. It's an amazing game, but yes, it's single-player is somewhat short. Chances are my friends are much better at Halo than you. They are pro gamers. They are the epitome of Halo fanboys and if I asked them to review the game they would both say "10" on reflex. However, they are fun to play with because we can go online in Team and CTF and just rape people haha.

And before anyone asks me, no I wouldn't rate Metroid Prime 3 with a 10 either. It had glaring issues of it's own. In fact, I have never played a game in my life that deserves a 10, because no games are perfect. I have played a lot of games in 20 years... If the rating system actually worked a 10 would be impossible to obtain.

I never said I was awesome at Halo. I just enjoy it.

But the Halo campaign in terms of length should be looked at across all three games. They folow directly on from one another. As far as I know no other game has done this. correct me if I'm wrong. It's an amazingly put together story.

BTW, the bottom line about Halo 3:

It's fun. That's all that really matters. Games should be fun, and it delivers on this in every way. That's absolutely true. If you like online multiplayer, then that fun will last indefinitely. I just hate the idea of the perfect score. There is no such thing as a perfect game.

Hey buddy we are all aloud our opinions. Me and you. No love lost? I agree. Fun is first.

It's nice to see smeone talking rather than slandering. Soz bout Fanboy comment ( bit harsh). But I hate when some people slander good games for no reason. (Not aimed at you).:)
