Infamous is such a surprise. It is soooooo much better than I had imagined, that it is refreshing.

Favorite films. Foreign films forever!

The game is a lot of fun, although some of the side missions and even some of the main story missions can get a little repetitive. That said, I'm still compelled to complete all the side quests as they actually affect the city (more police to help you, less enemy territory ect). I love the fact you can climb pretty much anything in the game, makes getting around and exploring much more fun. Like others have said you do feel attached to the city and I feel bad if I don't revive every citizen I see! Although I really can't wait to play this evil and bring the city to its knees!

2nd best I've played this gen. I still give the best open world, sand-box style game award to Oblivion!

I think you should classify Oblivion as an RPG and give inFamous the spot, I agree though..both are fantastic.

For me inFamous is by far the best Ive played this Gen, its amazing. However for me GTA3 just pips it along with San Andreas. Vice City beats it by a landslide Imo, but it's like the sex. Anyone remeber the Malibu Club and Lance Vance?

Great...it looked liek a cool title...I'll get my fix with Prototype, which also looks to be a great sandbox title.

I love it, totally destroys Ass Creed in every way.

I honestly think about paying it when i'am not, just fun and the story is interesting.

Yeah, it definitely overthrew AC as my favorite open world game.

I've played through the game three times now, twice as good and once as evil. The only things I can remember not liking were some of the animations (especially the mission where you need to protect the medical crate from the demo) are just flat out terrible, the protect X object missions, and... that's about it.

I love the story, and I'm so glad they included all the dead drops because they start to get really interesting as you find more and more of them. The second to last one sums up a lot of the amazingness though. Visuals aren't the best and there are a lot of pop ins, but overall, I didn't care that much and the game does look really good considering it's an open world game. I love the karma setup though they could have used it more (there is one when you get to the third island that is such an amazing moment; I wish they had more of those in there!).

Overall, this game is just plain fun. Except finding that last blast shard was horrible. I lost sleep over that one. I plan on writing a review soon, and I'll go into (much) more detail!

This as well as 3, SA, and 4 disagree as well.

Unfortunately, this is all a matter of opinion. I've never been a huge GTA person, and inFamous is my favorite open world game of all time. I realize that I'm probably in the vast minority with this opinion though, since GTA is a huge franchise and I've always had weird tastes in gaming (no GTA, MGS, RE, GT, KZ2, etc. I just don't like them as much as other games, not that they're bad in any way.)

i beat this game last night and just started my evil tour today.

i agree with the OP, this game is pure fucking win. the story really comes together in the end and i can't wait to see the evil ending.

i too do feel bad killing all these people on my evil playthrough after being the hero they so desperately needed the first time lol.
