I am sorry but srsly only 1 year of preperation? I dont want to see this great game turn out to be like madden series. We can easly boycott it plz guys i dont want this game to suck i love l4d2 to suck. Their a group call l4d2 boycott on steam we need to stop this.

Did you forget that this is Valve? They wont release garbage. 

Although I'd rather see freakin Half Life episode 3 or Portal 2, I'm sure L4D2 will be a good game for those who liked the first.  They just need to put enough new material into it to justify charging full price for it.

L4D2 looks like a new engine or something. Not same graphics from first one. Don't know about boycott lol.

the small trailer I've seen looks good. You can boycott it by not buying it if it doesn't turn out good. Personally I'd rather see new downloadable maps for campaign. But I'm betting this will be good, it doesn't take much time to build on a foundation that's already there.

Same engine, just been tweak just like it has been for the last 6 years now. Updated AI director but but update patching could have did that. Nope, Valve screwed you $60 buying gamers who thought the company would add more content in the later months instead of release a new game. They built all that trust with years of great service and pulled a swerve just a one product. They can say what they want but it was a money grab, plain and simply. Looks like MS is finally wearing off on them. Too bad... This will leave a bad taste in many gamers mouths that were first day believers.

A little voice in my head told me not to buy the game until they release more content to justify the $60 price tag for 6 hours of game play. Glad I listened...
