Forums - Microsoft - Mass Effect 2 : E3 media blowout. Following the game of the gen.

Mass Effect (series) is setting itself up to be the definitive RPG of this generation. It takes RPGs in a new direction and delivers. Will need to keep any eye on it. If they did happen to address all the issues of the original, that is very good news. One hopes they studied the pen and paper RPG Travelers, or the PC game "Starflight" to see how you can have the game world set up.

WOW......Just wow, this could quite possibly be the best game so far this gen. Seriosly, I think it's found the ideal balance for a game between gameplay and story. The story seems epic and your interactions with that story seem almost as important to the direction of the story as your choices in life are to your life story.

Graphics make me feel like this could be star wars and star trek vegas mistake child and now the animated blockbuster movie has come out and my existence is shepard, not my own.

The gameplay is greatly balanced I think. You're obviously badass, look at your additude and your skills with the weapons at your disposal. Yet the AI is impressive, very realistic, therefore challenging. You know you're a bad mamajama, but you don't walk around like you're jesus, you have to genuinely be concerned and wary of death.

Amazing

Bioware, you will lead the gaming world into the promised land and when we stand atop that mountain, universally recognized as the premium form of entertainment....we the people will build a monument in your name.

AH! But you contradict yourself selnor! Both alan wake and ME2 can't be "THE GAME OF THE GENERATION".

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

GOTY? It will compete with FFXIII, FFVXIII, Alan Wake, GoWIII, Gears 3, Halo Reach, The Last Guardian, Crysis 2, World at War 2, Heavy Rain, Zelda Wii and so on...

Pretty much impossible haha. Anyone should be able to perceive it no matter how much he/she liked the first game.

The same could be said of any one of those games.  I think ME 2 has just as much of a chance as any of those other games does.

It's not impossible. To many it's the best game this gen, and shows MGS4 how real storytelling should be done. The first is amazing, the 2nd looks even better. For me at least all the other games you list have a mountain to climb to beat it. Mass Effect 2 is already winning awards for best showing at E3.

WOW looks fabulous!

but game of this gen? I don't see any MGS4 vids in there or FF13 vids (lol)

Back to ME2, I'm gonna have to buy the lates laptop in town to be able to play this, the specs for it will probably be VERY HIGH! :(

you know, it would be a lot cheaper just to buy a 360.
