The takeaway quote from the full C-NET article (http://news.cnet.com/8301-10797_3-10255403-235.html):

Clearly, Microsoft is banking heavily on software developers--who are just now getting development kits--being able to utilize Natal in their games in such a way that players don't have to do any kind of configuration or tinkering in order to get it to work. Absent that instant-workability, the system loses a lot of its allure. But Tsunoda was insistent that that is Natal's value proposition and that developers will have no trouble making it work that way in their games.

Basically, it was an impressive demo. And the technology has a lot of potential. But remember, Microsoft is known for "smoke and mirrors." Whether or not Natal turns out to be one of them is anyone's guess. It very well could be if software makers do not incorporate the technology into the games.

What we need to see is a release date, price point, and workable software. And even then, it will be up to the market place to decide. For there will be over 30M Xbox 360 users who don't have this already and will have to decide whether to invest in it.

It's too early to feel Negative about NATAL with out knowing what 3rd parties are going to do with it......The waiting game begins

I think both of us are saying the same thing ... it will fall to the software makers. My point is that they will not only consider technology but cost and install base as well.

And just remember though, the Burnout working with Project Natal was recoded by Microsoft, not EA.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

So even the "credible Reporters" are now lying for MS....

Assuming you meant something by saying that MS recorded it and mean that the Burn out playabilty was  not real...
