Is the Last Remnant a good game? How is the story, characters, music and combat system?

Knowing how much you like JRPG's i would say go for it. I enjoyed the game my favoite part is the battle style which adds a bit of strategy in. I also liked the story some people thought it was ok but I liked it as much as Lost Odyssey to a point. IMO the English Voiceovers were good I think the most recognizable voice is from the character Rush if I am correct he voiced Nero in DMC4. The music is great very good Square quality tunes. Some of the optional bosses are just insane in this game, taking down my first dragon was thrilling, just as an example.

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

I am picking it up soon..After seeing my friend play it I liked it!

just play the pc version demo

I got it from GameFly and returned it the very next day. Not because of any performance flaws, but because I did not care at all for the gameplay. But if you are dead set on getting it, get the pc version.

How much can you buy it for?
Will you be able to install a disc on the HDD?

2 big questions. The game is pretty nice with the HDD install. I really enjoyed the game, and would give it around a 78-81 score, depending on the day. Some trash it, but it's incredibly difficult, and a real standout from the everyday JRPG.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

well said my friend. I did the HDD install as well it really does help cut back loading times and choppiness etc. The games biggest flaws are graphical hiccups and long loading even reviews mention this as it's biggest issue. As said by stickball I too would rate this around an 8 out of 10.

The gameplay is the saving grace. If you watch videos and feel like the battle system can pull you through a generic story, terrible characters and voice acting, and constant technical flaws, then you might get some enjoyment out of the game. Personally, I traded it in after 10 hours.

Short answer: no. I have it and couldn't play more than 5 hours. It's simply bad in every way.
