^Thanks, thats a better video

What's your problem with Michael Jackson?
OT'ish: Molyneux is working on this emotional interactive AI thins since Black and White at least. If you think about it, this kind o technology will lead to virtual friends, then quickly to virtual loved ones (be it offspring or lovers or even parents), then quickly to peripherals for the virtual someone for added interactivity...and so on.
In 15 years when you will visit someone and you'll be seated next to the holoimage of "Milo the good son" at the dinner table, think of Molyneux.

As a few people seemed to have mentioned, one major difference is the potential.
Another difference that I see is how you interact with them but this is kinda hard to explain.
To interact with the eyepet you have to exist in it's world, i.e. you watch yourself interacting with eyepet (and that's just something I really can't get my head around, seems counter intuitive. But having had no experience with it I can only talk about it as I envisage it. I would love to have a go with it to see how it actually feels). So eyepet has his world that he lives in and you go into that world to interact with him. Outside of that world eyepet does not exist.
But milo exists more in our world rather than his own. He's interacting with the real you, not the you inside his world.
My head's hurting. I can't explain it well enough. I know what I mean anyway.
sorry but fail.
Milo has:
Emotiona AI that Microsoft was working on for like 8 years,
can recognise person, voice and face,
can "understand" you and respond to gamer/user emotions(just read Molyneux interview),
you can go into the game(water part of Milo demo),
EyePet is pretty much EyeToy minigames, but in tamagochi version also if i remember those creatures can "draw" only things designed and implemented by developer. although it looks fun but is nowhere near as complex as Milo and Milo is still part of bigger project we only got a small glimpse at it.

Don't say those things. STAGE will come and call you names. Well, actually he won't.
I wouldn't call this working for sure just yet. Plus, it's all software, nothing else, and yeah, maybe MS&co are focusing on it for a while now (don't believe all they say), but there are others who do simmilar work. Anyways, I was thinking that Skynet will have to take it's (hes?) volatile nature from somewhere. Maibe this Milo emotional thing will be it :P.

cause we all know that every 10year old boy in video game world is future predator in real one.
it is a bit creepy........so kind of sad.....for Milo....but the concept was good.....i not sure if i will like it.....
as for Natal....i don't whether i would like to jump up and down kicking and punching for 2 - 4 hrs....playing games...it will be so tiresome...and is gonna take me forever to complete a game bcos i will be so exhausted.........Work is hard enough....
i kind of agree to some that milo looks a bit creepy lol
