So if you have some precious UMDs that you want to play on your new PSP Go, this statment might ease your thoughts on the whole digital distribution thingy.

"We are looking into programs for owners who have previously purchased UMD titles and want to exchange them for digital versions," said Sony Computer Entertainment's Brian Keltner. "It's something we are still hammering out the details. As soon as we have solid plans in place we will make an announcement."

Keltner also mentioned that he'd like to see this issue resolved before the release of the PSP Go in October.

If you have UMD's and then go out to buy a system without UMD you are an idiot if you complain about that. The psp with UMD is still on sale afterall.

why don't they just release an external UMD drive attachment for the GO? that would make far more sense.
pirating issue would be high though, but they made their bed, now they must sleep in it.

What I don't understand is how will you store your digital games outside of the PSP go, cause with all the music and photos/videos plus games those 16 gigs will fill in no time. What do you do with the games you finished?
Store them on PS3/PC?

Probably delete them, aka store them in the psn store and just keep the saves. And re-download if you want to replay.

Though storing them on a PS3 shouldn't be a problem.

That begs another question: How in the world will they make it difficult for me to share, replicate my game to enyone I want to?

i think you can only sownload them 5 times. I guess that could still be 4 other people though.
