@ sega4life: I don't understand your point about the framerate. It's not harder to take a pic from a game running at 30 fps.

About your other point, that's exactly the thing. This is not a HD console game, it's a handheld game. If I recall correctly, it's a mini-PS2 and it never tried to accomplish what the big consoles we're doing. It's like with a Wii game really, it looks bad on screenshots but not on videos (best example is The Conduit).

With that said, the game still runs at 60 fps, so that's incredible.

... you said it was the first time you heard of an ingame screen shot that looked good..

I pointed out that 60fps games take better screen shots then 30fps games..

At least they do on my PC when I took DoD-S pics when I had my PC running it at 30fps and then at 60fps..

Test Drive Unlimited to me is amazing, looks amazing, just flat out fun to play, and it didn't take them years to make it for the PSP, the time I've been hearing about the PSP version of GT I was thinking it was the best thing sense sliced bread, and the video at E3 made it look GT5-P worthy..

This is a day one purchase for me, but it doesn't mean for the time i've been waiting, I do not expect more then what the pics show..

Ah, well thanks for the info. It's weird though, I took screen caps of many games running on my laptop like Crysis (under 24 fps... uggh) and Bionic Commando Rearmed (60 fps) and they came out alright.

It's not about the fps, it's more about the performance of the hardware really. My Crysis settings are at medium and it looks quite bad. Bionic Commando Rearmed is obviously maxed (GRIN make some good engines) and it looks fucktons better than Crysis.

Well thats funny, cuz, I thought that since the pics were all here, and confirmed by an article that happens to be linked in the OP, it would be valid. But I guess that was too much common sense for some people to understand. *sigh

So this is the game thats supossed to look almost as good as Forza 3 >_>

first of all, this game is a handheld. it uses a 3 something inch screen. are you really comparing the graphics on this to a full on 360 game that runs on an HDTV?

apples and oranges. please stop overhyping something in the wrong direction.
