AMD 64 Athlon X2

This is unbelievably vague ^^

ME runs on my computer on low-med settings and I have AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+, 2g RAM and an ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO.  Just going to update my GPU in the near future and it should be fine on higher settings.

Thanks for the help. I probably won't get it. I mean i want it, but my computer is all messed up anyway. It always freezes, i think there is something wrong with my graphics card. I will probably wait and get a new PC after october since i hear windows 7 will come out.

I guess it's obvious i won't be able to play Alan Wake either, but that won't come out until next year so i should have my new PC by then. But Alan Wake is looking scary, scary games make it hard for me to get through. Cause their scary. lol

Im sure someone will make a mod that turns dark and scary into pink and cute for Alan Wake.

Tease.

i have same GPU as you, a P4 CPU and mass effect runs great at medium settings for me

I sure hope so i would totally play that. lol

No but seriously i get scared easilay. I couldn't make it through Resident Evil remake for Gamecube and Zero quickly because the graphics were nice and it was dark. Plus the strategy guide made it seem harder than it was.

That's great to hear. But i'm afraid my computer just will not want to run it. It won't even run Kotor and my computer is perfect to run that game. But it runs Oblivion well, for the most part. I love games more on the computer, not because i think they are better, i don't have those feelings about any system or PC,   but it's because of the mods you can make. But that's also why i like PS3, if the developer would allow it like Unreal Tournament III for PS3.

To really get through scary games there are a couple of steps you must do to prepare yourself. First you have to give your console/PC a name, that way you are never alone when you're playing. Then you have to set the brightness of the monitor/TV up so that it kinda just looks gloomy rather than dark. If you do those things you should never be scared by a video game again!

Actually the only thing i would want to do is turn off the music, but sometimes they don't even allow you to turn it down. It's just when the music gets more dramatic it gets to me. lol

Oh, I do have a name for my PC it's a long one, here it goes... Piece of **** that **** can't work for **** that **** UP *************************************************** bag.

Do you have a nickname for it? :/ I can't see anyone being able to call out that in the middle of a scary scene.

Haha, so if its the music then all you'd need to know is if it has an option for changing the music volume?

Yeah, I have a nickname for it, Geremy.

Well, some games don't seem to have the Music volume. I also don't want to turn the volume down because i like sound effects. I have to have my back against a wall and a very bright room to play those games. But Alan Wake does look fun. I liked how he jumped out of the way of things, but i didn't understand the flashlight or if he was shooting bullets, it looked weird.

Hmm CPU is fine but 640x480 or 800x600 will be max you can do with this card.

You act like he'll care if his framerate bounces around a bit...  I run the game just fine on my POS 2x1.8ghz with X1300 Radeon... it's amazing what a little tweeking here and there can do

edit:  I use Windows 7... soooo... I don't know how much effect that has... I do go and close out all the garbage running and set it so everything turns off when the game starts... it's amazing the overhead you can shrink by turning off effects when the game starts.
