Sixth grade would be eleven or twelve years old. The opossums in North America are indeed native, and not transplanted. Marsupials were probably a earlier mammalian design, and later died off from over competition from placental mammals which would be the later more efficient design. The exceptions being Australia which was geographically isolated for so long, and a few lone survivors. Opossums are often maligned for looking outright disturbing, but they are true survivors.

Ummm no. Panda's are mammals like us and bears, not a marsupial like a kangaroo. Thus, no pouch.

I know what you meant, but marsupials are mammals too

ahh cool, thanks....i should start using Wiki more really, i don't even have it bookmarked.

so 6th grade is like Year 7 (the start of Secondary school). What years [grades] are before 6th? because here there is a Reception followed by years 1, 2 etc. i have heard of kindergarten but i assumed that was equivalent to pre-school here (under 4yo) if that is correct there are at least 2 years worth before 1st Grade, just wondering what they are called?
