I think the "info boycott" idea might be for the best... The trailers are so inconsistent, and they aren't doing the game any favors. The same could be said for InFamous, right up until release, though. Hell, I even thought the "bullet" commercial for KillZone was a huge disservice, and that was supposed to be THE hype vid for the game.

To each his own, I think the trailers look fine. They just need some polish, but since the game is in Alpha and not releasing until Feb/Mar 2010, they've got plenty of time.

In fairness it could have looked far worse as a alpha build and I still wouldn't have written off the game.  I was just saying what I saw and I felt people raving about it were being far too generous, this game will look a lot better upon release I agree.  The animation isn't bad, it's the transitions that need that little bit of polish, AA I'm assuming will be a late addition as usual on PS3 titles.  I try not to get into too much hype over games or I end up disappointed so will wait a few months then check some more trailers out.

Looking at the trailers released on PSN since E3, I wouldn't think graphics is Heavy Rain's selling point...  It's not even close to being the best looking gme coming out, and even Uncharted 2 isn't looking as stunning as people were saying (it looks great, and I'll be buying it, but people are talking like it's the single greatest source of graphic sever produced on a console).

Believing in the PLAYSTATION®3......IS.......S_A_C_R_I_L_E_G_E

Isn't this shaping up to be a bit of a girly game if you have to apply make-up to a main character?

Hardcore playing with barbies now? :)

Pretty impressive graphics engine indeed. Hope it delivers a good and complex story!
