And, IMO-and I am sure leo's as well- KH is better than any FF game PERIOD!

In the debate between FF & KH (both are wonderful games by the way)...I definitely have to go with Final Fantasy---I could never get into the dang Disney characters being in a game--I mean, who the heck wants Donald Duck involved in an epic storyline? Totally ruins it...And for those who teared at the end of KHII...I teared at the end of FFX...

^Exactly. Most of the dislike of KH seems to be the Disney characters.

I LOVE the Disney incorporation. A culmination of past Disney characters and shows into one excellently designed game with a great story tying all of the worlds together in a great plot involving a plethora of other characters, borrowed and new.

This is the reason why Kingdom Hearts is my favorite game. The culmination of nostalgia, great gameplay and masterful story makes this series spectacular.

The only game that has a chance of topping KH is Super Smash Bros. Brawl, because of the Story Mode. I always loved the culmination of characters. But now, I get to experience a story tying characters together. I am not sure whether it will be as 'masterful' as Kingdom Hearts, considering the Smash series is, primarily, a multiplayer affair, but I am pretty excited for it so far.

Disney characters and Final Fantasy characters because the series lacks it's own stuff? I think that sums up Kingdom Hearts.

Final Fantasy VII still wipes the floor with any KH game and the sale figures totally agree.

It has plenty of stuff, like Organization XIII. The added Disney and FF is what makes it even greater.

I believe we should just agree to disagree, especially since you are the first FF fan I see who's favorite game is FFVII- one most consider overhyped.

The fact is that liking any game better than another is going to be nothing but opinion.  There are a lot of people on this forum jhlennon who will vehmently disagree with you about FFVII being the best FF, or even one of the best FFs, including me.  That's our opinions though, and it's kind of dumb to claim with such certainty that one series is better than the other no matter what, when you are talking about video games which are always based on opinions.

Final Fantasy VII sold nearly 10mil, is the most wanted remake, has the most loyal fanbase because it was over-hyped or because it was just naturally the superior game in the series? I wonder....I am leaning towards the latter, since it has such a loyal fanbase because of it's unmatched quality.

But this is a KH thread so I will take my leave now.

Unmatched in quality?  Um... it's unanimously considered the worst translated Final Fantasy ever made.  It is also often misinterpreted, and constant debates rage amongst it's fans about who is even the main villain in it. It's characters were expressionless legos and the only time you could see any emotion from any of them was in a cutscene.  

Those things aren't even debatable issues with it.  There are certainly Final Fantasy games on all systems that at least don't have those 3 problems... even the 2D sprites in Final Fantasy VI displayed a lot of emotion.   

 you obviously have never read any of kh boards.  there are so many questions and so many answers.  dont even try to read any theories, they are just so complex.  just face it ff and disney are nice additions in it, but its the original stuff that is the best.   kh is an extremely deep universe (i say universe not cause it has "worlds" but because its so big) and few games can hope of rivaling its depth.
