I have to say they Sony seemed half hearted showing this on stage after Natal.

Natal showed full working game environments as well. And according to media like IGN and Gamespot behind closed doors Natal works amazingly. Burnout fully working with it for instance. Milo was pure gobsmacking.

It's nice to see proper motion tracking unlike the wii, with 2 wands. But thats so yesterday. Natal provides full motion tracking via your entire body as well as multiple bodies.

And the showing for Sony's wasnt very smooth, major problems in connecting with objects early on and the bow and arrow look very innacurate.

I kinda just felt sorry for the whole 15 mins. They must be kicking themselves. Oh and so everyone knows Natal can track you pulling a trigger, it doesnt need an actual trigger button.

The comment from the Sony exec said it all really. " Our tech is better than anything currently on the market to buy". I bet he really wishes he could have said " Our tech is the best anywhere".

I expect this to die very early on, and get lost in Natal. It already has. Nothing in the media ( newpapers and news reports ) have said anything about Sony's motion controllers. But Natal has been everywhere.

Also They made no mention of multiple players.

I read the OP. like I said after Natal it just isn't impressive. I think most people cringed for Sony when it was showed.

Would you like a bet on signatures? Natal will be a success and double 360 sales from it's release. And Sony's motion wands will die out the same way the Virtual Boy did. ( It wont last more than 12 months on sale ).

If you read the OP, you would know that this thread is about the PS Eye, the peripheral that is out now in stores, not the Natal, not the dildo wand.
I think both peripherals will fail, add-ons all fail, like the HD-DVD add on......but tell me more about this bet, maybe I'll take it if you can make it interesting enough for me to take it.

Actually, he was just putting Sony fanboys in their place. I tend to agree with everything he said, and find it relevant.

Fanboys tend to agree with fanboys, why is he talking out of his about Natal? This is a thread about the PS Eye, not even about the dildo wand.....

The OP showed the Eye Toy camera, which is exactly what was shown this E3. Do you think those PS3 cups are moving with just hands? The PS3 eye toy has to have recievers in or on the players hands. It has to have focal points. It cant pick up bare hand movement. So yes it is exactly the same as the E3 2009 Dildo wands. just most probably a different design for the cup demo. Seeing this is 2005 in the OP I'm amazed how little it's come on in 4 years. They still had big issues with the tracking in E309 demo. like object connection etc. E309 footage and those cups from 2005 are done exactly the same way.

So my post was saying to the op who said this is impressive tech, actually after Natal it's anything but impressive. Thats just the way technology is.
