So, every thread I went into this weekend and early this week, somebody was banned. My question is, does this happen every E3?

My other question was, were you banned? What for? And what is your defense? Yes that is right,  I am giving you a chance to redeem yourselvs!

Ok, I will start with me! I got banned in an E3 related thread (it was my first time, at least they were gentle. lol).

Why? Flaming. Normally I do not flame, but this was different.

My defense. It was concerning Project NATAL, this guy was not reading what I had posted explaining how you would not need a controller for it, and how it could have huge potential, he just kept saying the same things I had already debunked earlier in the thread, and seemed insistant on calling it an eyetoy, which it cklearly is not...so I called him a fanboy and a noob. My bad.

I haven't been banned. Haven't been since that one time I posted porn. The trick with E3 is acknowledging strengths and not let yourself be drawn into a prolonged debate

This is not to entice debate, it if for those who got banned to vent. I will not debate why I got banned. I already know, and I actually agree with the mods reasoning, although a simple warning would have sufficed.

I saw NFG getting banned, and the mod who banner her told her to "grow up".

That's a pretty stupid thing to say to a 13 year old girl, imho.

I also got a warning for touting my opinion about something ina thread about that something. I was told I was trolling, even though creating a thread about something leaves it up for public scrutiny, positive or negative.

I guess that means everyone can only have positive feelings about things, or they're trolling, right?

I got banned because I insulted a mod's political beliefs. (Flaming)

I wasn't aware this was against the TOS, but have since re-read the rules, and yep, it's listed.

This is VGChartz, we have the strictest mods on the net. People get banned everyday here.

XD, so if you insult a members political beliefs, you won't get banned? It's good to see you have made a recovery though.

Actually, no, VGC actually has pretty fair mods, for the most part.

And they are extremely liberal about things that are allowed, almost to a fault imho.

The forum that I personally moderated, adult language was filtered out due to it being an adult oriented site, so words like fuck, shit and cock got filtered into more family friendly words.

Also, any "post whoring" which is making random posts with no content just for post count, would result in a suspension or outright ban.

So yeah, these forums are pretty liberal with what they allow. Even if the mods serve their own interests once in a while, or make a judgment call that everyone does not agree with.

They are human before they are moderators. :)
