Sony didn't moneyhat it. What moneyhatted it was the refusal of Japanese gamers to buy games on the 360 in any significant numbers. You can't have a Square mmo debuting in Japan with sales of 250,000 launch week.

Sorry, but sony is in trouble. They need to make some real good decisions real soon if they want to continue to be a major leading force in the entertainment industry.
