I listened to it - They seem impressed - I suppose it had much more substance than Microsofts Project Natal

Natal shows promise but I'm not sure the tech is there yet plus Sony's motion is much more the type of thing I'd use as it is a physical controller

???!!

More substance ? Explain ?

Sony's live demo of their tech went well, whereas the only live demoing of Natal was pretty terrible. (I don't need to copy and paste the two gifs)

Natal is definitely a higher tech item, but it shouldn't have been shown. (Neither should Sony with that awful design. They did say they were going to re do it though.)

You're going to seriously claim that the purple dildo demo went well?   Natal's demo wow'ed everyone so much that MAJOR MEDIA is reporting on it.

Stop getting so excited about a Kid Icarus remake... the original NES Icarus sucked.

The Milo demo, was being demonstrated to a closed audience at E3, so although the milo thing has more potential than the video they showed, what was shown in the video is real, right now tech. Not just potential. It's hard for time constraints reasons, to efficiently show it at the main floor during their conference.

Also, people don't realize, sony's tech is more the camera than the controller, microsoft could just add something even simpler, smaller etc, with even more precision because their camera sensing tech is superior to say the least.

I believe however that it can be just as precise without a controller period.
Sony announcing a release date means squat. They announce release dates for everything and miss those dates alot. I think they announced a date to try to remain at an even keel with what Microsoft showed off. It actually worked for some people.

Sony is not to be trusted with their cool tech promises, the eyetoy and pseye were announced and subsequently released ages ago and the best they have to show for it is another tech demo with the pseye......real trustworthy sony. Home, same thing, eas pushed back endlessly and in the end it was still rough and rushed, and boring, and all FAIL. Sixaxis, wasn't the tech demo for the sixaxis tech pretty cool?? has any of that happened?? no

I won't believe Milo is real until I actually see it - There been stuff about everywhere on the internet and several people have said that its not even technologically possilbe at this time - The stuff Milo says does not follow a logical speech pattern. Its the same way a computer can;t come up with a random number - it just can't.

So, because some people said on the internet that it can't be done, you believe them, and that's it.

Sorry to inform you, but this technology has been possible for the past 10 years or so.  Getting it to execute seamlessly is the problem.  I took several courses in the late 90's in Machine Vision, Artificial intelligence, Heuristics, and Robotics, and the tech was possible then, it just looked horrid.  Now that it can look the way it does, along with the increases in AI and motion sensing/voice sensing, the fact is that this tech is very possible, and does exist today.

If you're going to keep claiming that it is fake, provide proof.

It is not a fake, IGN had the opportunity to test it with Peter Molyneux.

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

The camera tracks the controller, so it's not true motion as the controller just has a sensor that the camera picks up. Plus it's requires TWO ADD-ONS, not something that was out of the box like the Wii has or was made for. That's why I have knocked off some credit that Sony did with their ideas. It's a cheap method because they use the camera to track an item's movement, speed and distance rather that developing something from the ground-up that was meant for the console. Although I admit it was a very neat idea and clever, they used an add-on already being sold with another add-on, thus attracting people's attention towards it.

Why'd you bring (the far superior) Natal in this thread? It only proves how much of a threat it is to some people. LOL

Natal was far superior?? When did I miss that memo. Natal was extremely gay in my opinion, and its not like they were showing live tech demos of it like Sony was. If you watch the beginning of the E3 video it says "Product Vision: Actual Features and functionality may vary." Mark my words, Natal won't work well and won't be out anytime soon. Only feeble minds like you fall for the Microsoft garbage!

Oh because PS3 gimmicks will be released earlier according to you ?

The PS3 controller was very similar to the Wii's so I wouldn't really call it gimmicky. Gimmicky is something that claims you will be able to fight as a ninja or will scan your skateboard and have you doing tricks on it on the TV. Show me some live footage. Oh thats right, there is none because that is only the "Product Vision." C'mon now don't fall for Microshaft's schemes.

Ahh, motion controllers.

Wii's Controllers - Crap.

Sony's
- Better than Wii's. Seems better suited to hardcore. The aethsetics of the things look crap and looks like a dild. Hopefully it gets better.

Micro's
- Amazing........ if it's real. However seems more suited to casuals and lacks buttons or even a physical thing. Great potential, but it will feel damn wierd playing the shit. Hopefully, it's not fucking over priced as most Micro stuff is, hope to god it's not.

Who has the best? - Dunno, SONY for hardcore, Micro for casuals maybe if they have the games and Wii, for cheap people?

You have clearly only seen the one clip made by marketing people at MS.  View the following.  After the said marketing clip, there is footage of the MS e3 conference that shows LIVE USE of natal in a 3d breakout game and some kind of painting thing.

That video was terrible. As I was saying Natal is wack and gimmicky.

I'll reserve an opinion on sony and motion technology. The six-axis thing was supposed to be their attempt at motion technology- idk if i want to get hyped for v2 of it.

Actually, you went on and on about how it wasn't shown live like the PS3 purple dildo.
