Forums - Gaming - (The Implications of) Project Mylo.

The one thing that really struck me on this E3 show was Molyneux' little project. I know, I know, it's just a series of broad responses from a character based on voice recognition and motion sensing technology from a person. However, the implications that Mylo creates are endless. Implications that made my hair stand on end as I saw the demo.

Are we entering an age wherein the AI we go up against will actually React depending on our actions, making them completely Unpredictable? I'm thinking of Mylo as a stepping stone into another generation of Artificial Intelligence: AI that almost acts Human. AI that is so realistic, it's scary?

Perhaps this is a stepping stone into the creation of Actual Artificial Intelligence? The birth of machines that can think? Computers that have emotions?

Maybe I'm being awfully science fiction here, but hey.. you gotta admit that while Molyneux is a real oddball, he got the last laugh this time..
