Forums - Microsoft - "For 360/PC" is an exclusive for 360 (Reasons)

I also believe that console specific still applies even when thier is a PC version available because the market itself is totally different. Consumers just dont think of PCs as a separate appliance that they make a choice. The market for PC games is also smaller.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

So then does that mean Final Fantasy XIV is INFACT a PS3 exclusive by this Rule or is the PS3 not a console?

I've been hearing waaay to much hypocrysy about this topic.

For me, Final Fantasy XIV is a console exclusivity for the PS3.

Denial.  Not just a river in Egypt.

I even considered buying a 360 a few months ago instead of building a new PC, since the 360 seemed pretty cheap (it's not, when you realize all the extra costs associated with the $199 console) and plays many of the same games.  But then I came to my senses and built a PC instead

Im glad you're enjoying the PC. Im kinda wondering as an honest question, what kind of specs/price did you pay for your ideal experience? (Im not going to complain that PC gaming is expensive and use you as a bait, its just interesting to see how much people value a PC experience and what they get for what they pay for).

My PC cost a little over $600.  I didn't pay for Windows (I have my old copy of XP on one partition, and recently installed Windows 7 RC on the other).

It maxes out pretty much everything I throw at it, Left 4 Dead (which I play quite a bit) usually runs around 100fps with everything maxed... the only exceptions are Crysis (I only installed the demo so I could see what all the graphical hype was about ), and Far Cry 2.

Which are both MORE than playable with fantastic graphics, I just can't crank everything on those two titles like I can with COD4 or Bioshock.

Alrighty then, thanks for the "good" feedback on that one.

I Agree on what you say about the 360 then, although PC fanboys won't think the same way, even more so those with hot-rod comps...

You could call it that way, but I could still decide to play it on my pc instead.

Anyone who doesn't get the "Games for Windows" exclusivity idea is not worth attempting to have a discussion with. Your efforts to explain to them that "Yes, this MICROSOFT EXCLUSIVE is on both the 360 and the PC (and, often, allows you to play against each other as though it were the same platform)... but that just means you have two options that are not your PS3" are admirable, but these people are too stupid and too absorbed in "I am defined by my sole console of choice" for it to sink in.

Huh? But I am not talking about the PC.

"is a console exclusivity for the ps3".

Also don't let the PC fanbots (shio, etc...) find this thread, it'll be all hell.

I like my ps3 better than my pc, but I'll call in a pc fanboy air strike for you.

Im glad that you're enjoying your PC. It'll be hard to resist the temptation of the new once the Directx 11 cards come out! Well it will be for me!

I love technology, so for me buying a new GPU every year is as fun as buying a couple of games.

Tease.

On ps3 it's called "console exclusive"

On pc it's called a "game"
