Forums - Microsoft - "For 360/PC" is an exclusive for 360 (Reasons)

I dunno, i still can't see why it would be called exclusive if it comes out on the PC as well.... If I have a ps3, and i can get all the 360 "exclusives" on my PC, why would I buy a 360? Exclusives should be on one device.

This is obvious! Microsoft owns the Windows plataform, if they have a chance to put the game in their other plataform, of course they will do that.

But, the PC is not a console, you have to understand that you can't use this like an excuse/argument, your ps3/Wii/ps2/xbox is not a computer, if the game will be released only for 360 (in the consoles), this game will be an exclusive for 360, you don't need to cry and try to use this thing like an argument. Otherwise, LBP is not an exclusive for ps3 because the PSP will have a version. This makes no sense and is a lack of argument.

Let's put this thing to rest?

you're the one crying...

a semi exclusive is a semi exclusive.

Please, use arguments like normal people.

Yes, and the 360 is not in the same market place of the PC, and it is not a competitor for the PC, it is a competitor for the ps3. If the ps3 don't have Mass Effect and the 360 has Mass Effect, Mass Effect is an exclusive for the 360, because both systems are competitors. Both systems are consoles, and not PCs.

This. With the price of really good video cards these days, building a rig that outpowers a 360 isn't expensive. If a game comes out on PC I get it, if its only on PS3 or its a game that suits lounge gaming more, then I get it on PS3. So if I don't need a 360 to play a game, then its hardly exclusive is it. If I could play 360 games natively on a PC, then maybe you could call it exclusive, but they are two completely separate platforms, so you can't.

But then I don't get particularly bent around the axles over exclusivity anyway, as long as I can play it and its similar quality then I'm happy.

How can you say the 360 is not a competitor to the PC? or the PS3? or the Wii? All systems play games, all systems share common games, the system that appeals to a gamer the most will be purchased, therefore they are all competitors. Now, if you want to go ahead and call every game that is 360/PC or PS3/PC a console exclusive, then go ahead. But an exclusive game it is not.

I like to go back to Final Fantasy VII which was a MAJOR Playstation release back in the day, yet was also on the PC. When you think of FF7, you think Playstation because that was the console it was exclusive for.

Absolutely disagree. Exclusive means something that pushes you to get a determined platform to play that game. If I take as example, say, Mass Effect, I can play it (as I did) without having to own, borrow, or even get close to a 360. Thus, how on earth does that make it a 360 exclusive (as it would in your criteria) if I own it and played it without ever even seeing a 360???
Apply the same reasoning to any PS3/PC game or Wii/PC game
