There was nothing from Sony at E3 about this rumor. I would expect them to announce it if they were going to release it some time in October, just like the new PSP Go.

They did do it to the PSP, though, which is making $$$ for them. Why wouldn't they do it to the PS3 which is actually losing $$$ for Sony.

The PSP go box is literally exactly the same as the leaked PS3 Slim images + Sin + another insider said September time so it is coming.

PS3 Slim is for TGS
it is not confirmed until they announce that the Ps3 will no longer be sold.

PSP3000 is still going to be on the market, along with PSPGo. If a slim PS3 was introduced, I don't see them keeping the PS3phat on shelves.
