From what i understand the games about as casual as wow.  If you dont have the time to play wow, you dont have time to play video games. EQ I can understand because even nowadays you need a lot of time to raid.  You wont have the best gear available in the game in wow... but boohoo.  You can have very respectable gear playing 5 hours a week if you dont waste ur time.  Also, the star wars mmo will have a focus on the story.  If all you want is a good kotor story then ignore all the other players running around.  Ya, it's not exactly the same, but so what.  It's likely gonna be great.  It's not just "another star wars mmo".  The first one sucked.  It's even worse now.  This one being done by bioware.  Give it a chance and quit being so narrow minded about it.

Are you actually reading my posts?  I just said that it being Bioware is a big plus for me considering it.  I started the thread saying how awesome the trailer looked.  I clearly am giving it a chance, hell I created this thread here to get the word out on the trailer.  Also my current avatar is from the bloody trailer.

MMOs with a monthly subscription fee are a bit hard to justify when your available gaming time is limited in general.  So while I plan to give this one a chance because its looking so good, its from Bioware (my favorite game developer), and I am a Star Wars fan since 1977 that dosen't mean its narrow-minded of me to say given the choice I would prefer a KotOR 3 would have come out before or instead of this.

I don't know if you have kids of your own, but I can tell you many of us with them may have some weeks where we can't spare 5 hours for gaming, let alone can we justify $15 a month to go for a single game if we can't get decent time in on it.  I can appreciate that that kind of reality for some of us may not be in the forefront of the minds of many posters on a gaming site.  But, that said, you are jumping to an unfair conclusion.

Currently playing:  PC:  Wolfenstein  PS2:  Final Fantasy X  PS3: All-Pro Football 2K8 Wii:  Force Unleashed  PSP:  God of War: CoO Xbox 360:  Gears of War 2

Most anticipated game:  Dragon Age Origins (PC)

At this point, I say fuck the MMO, and just make a CGI star wars movie.

This cinematic > Episodes I-III.

Stop getting so excited about a Kid Icarus remake... the original NES Icarus sucked.

When George Lucas dies, someone will be given the opportunity to reboot the franchise and do it right from the start (I'd personally like it to be me )
