Forums - Gaming - the beatles: rockband

i just watched the trailer and was blown away, the game really captures the essence of what the group represents, the places in which they are playing are fantastic , the character models are great and the interface looks really good....i wanted to play this game so badly and now my hype just went incredibly up.

so, who else saw the trailer and what do you think of it?

I hated it. why did they have to go and show it for ten minutes in the beginning of the ms press conference.

though the video was quite cool

I'm really pleased with the songs I saw. Octopus's Garden, Here Comes the Sun, Taxman, I Am the Walrus...

It'll be completely amazing

Sucks that I can't play it...it's not coming for PS2

Looks pretty cool, but most of my favourite songs are probably not going to be on it, sooo...

maybe not at first, but they said that there would be complete albums as dlc, the first one will be abbey road, and with that i´m completely sold

That's something that has me wondering. As much as I love The Beatles, there are some songs that simply don't fit the game at all. For example, let's say they offer the full White Album as DLC, what are they gonna do with Blackbird, that's only vocals and an acoustic guitar (no drums, no bass)? Or Eleanor Rigby (my favourite song ever), it doesn't feature either guitar, bass or drums, will they skip it when they offer Revolver?

Exactly what I was thinking, I wonder if they would even attempt Penny Lane.

Actually, Penny Lane has the full band, according to Wiki.

Instruments

  • John Lennon: two pianos, rhythm guitar, congas and harmony vocals.
  • Paul McCartney: bass, three pianos, lead and harmony vocals, recorder.
  • George Harrison: lead guitar, firebell and background vocals.
  • Ringo Starr: drums and percussion.
  • George Martin: piano, orchestration and production.
  • David Mason: piccolo trumpet solo.
  • Other session musicians played wind, brass and stringed instruments.

Of course, what stands most in Penny Lane is the trumpet (at least for me), so it definitely would be a bit weird to play, if it was offered
