As in, back in his Sons of Liberty days when he was almost universally hated.

I thought he was an awesome character and was constantly annoyed by how many people hated him. So seeing him being embraced by the MGS fanbase post MGS4 and now even getting his own game is awesome for me (besides the slightly chafing fact that it took making him "badass" to win over most people).

TBH I never liked him. Im not saying that because his game will be on 360. I just never liked him. Looks like Lance Bass from NSync. His ninja cutscene with Vamp in MGS4 was dragging on and very meh IMO.

I liked the relationship through Codec he had going with Rose in MGS2. That's about it though. Unfortunately they really dropped the ball with that storyline in MGS4. I don't have faith Kojima can write an engaging story starring Raiden at this point in his career. Here's hoping it's true and someone else is taking the reins on this one.

Snake is a bad ass, old school, expert in stealth.

Raiden is a "cyborg-ninja" with nano-technology. Feminine features and Halo-ish face mask.

I just hope MGS Rising isnt like Ninja Blade.

I liked him in MGS2. It was awesome the way he changed throughout the game. Like Onyxmeth said, i also liked his relationship with Rose. I remember Rose being jealous when you rescue Emma. But after seeing what Kojima did with him in MGS4. I just jope its someone else.

Not me, I've replayed the tanker sequence of MGS2 an uncountable amount of times cause snake is so awesome, I've done the Raiden part twice cause he's annoying. MGS4 made him cooler, but it didn't really feel like the same character.
