Really this E3 is for Sony to lose. The better question is can Sony fuck this up?

oh, oh, oh! Announcing that every game mentioned is delayed to 2010-2011, or announcing that their going to cut the ps3s lifespan prematurely and announce its new console (okay i know that one probably won't happen but that sure would piss a bunch of people off)

I'm not sure how they could win without announcing any new games. We've seen pretty much all of these games at E3 08

I agree. I think this is Sony's conference to lose. They have too many great titles coming soon. Their first party line-up is looking amazing not to mention second party stuff as well. I'm looking forward to seeing these great titles showcased tomorrow.

Well i agree for 1 reason, and is that I think Sony revealed almost all the games already and Microsoft waited on some, now the 360 lineup for this year looks fine when it didn't look that good yesterday. Now they are more on even ground as far as that goes, but MS is the one in the drivers seat right now, MS is not losing tons of money, being outsold week after week and is not selling their console at a significant loss. If things stay as they are now and Sony just shows us things we know MS wins.

I just don't see how you can say

"wow Sony has so many cool games coming up that they have to win E3"

E3 to me is about announcing things that people never expected

I'm confused. I thought the whole point of e3 was for companies to "show us things".

The only games listed that were at E3 08 were God of War III, The Agency, Free Realms, DC Universe Online, M.A.G., and Fat Princess. Heavy Rain, EyePet, SingStar Vol. 3, and VidZone were shown at GC. White Knight Chronicles and Demon's Souls were at TGS. However, none of these games have solid release dates for North America.

Nothing else has been at a major public conference yet including Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, Project Trico, Under Siege, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3, LittleBigPlanet PSP, Gran Turismo Mobile, SingStar Queen, and MotorStorm: Arctic Edge.

However, just as the TC stated, these are only games that we know about. Sony has a few suprises in store for us as well. He also notably forgot a few such as PixelJunk Shooter, The Punisher: No Mercy, and Twisted Metal PS3 (even though we already know that won't be appearing).

There is no point naming all these games Sony will show, because if they have a name, then they have already been announced

So you're expecting the unexpected?

It's alright if Sony delivers the unexpected, even if the unexpected itself was actually expected. because the specific games were still unexpected
