Forums - Gaming - Motion Controls are now Current Gen.

Rol. was right. Clearly the symbolism of motion controls now finally being adopted by all 3 consoles means that it is motion controls, and not HD graphics, which are the real measure for this current generation.

No wonder fanboys cry for HD Wii's. Its too late the companies have decided that controls and not graphics solidify this gen. def. of "next gen".

discuss or moan, whatever you wish.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Wow, you defended the wii and I thought this was going to be a wii troll thread.

HD graphics matter too because the next Nintendo console will have it too. Nintendo is just a better company and makes better decisions. They've always made the most profit in the gaming industry except 2003. Says a lot.

not a troll thread. Im just trying to demonstrate that clearly now motion controls are more "progressive" according to the console manufacturers than graphics ever were.

Motion controls have been "current gen" since this gen started. It's just that the people who denounced it when it first came out are now accepting it and claiming innovation.

I knew this since 06. Microsoft took 3 years to realize that :P
