I'm sorry, I'm sure most of the household who owns an xbox 360 already owns a PC and would it be a pain to get up and use PC for Facebook or twitter to type your daily dramas?

Almost no one buys £2000 PCs. Nowadays a £400 can do a much better job at running games than any console. PC prices have decreased dramatically in the last few years. Hell, you can now build a PC that plays games better cheaper than a PS3. Many people consider now that PC gaming is cheaper than Console gaming due to the cheaper prices of games, which are often $10-$20 less than the console versions. You also don't need to play $50 every year just to play online. |
OMG, plz find me these many people who are as delusional as yourself?? A cheap gaming pc does not provide gaming at the efficient level of a console, not to mention constant upgrades simply add to the pc investment and are annoying as fuck. A gaming pc's specs that worked fine today, will not be enough next year, if you want console level gaming. This is especially true, if you decide to cut some corners and buy the cheapest considerably efficient gaming pc. You'd be upgrading in a few months.
-edit-
What, do you not pay for your broadband/dsl connection or something? how is online free?
All of these consoles this gen are basically PC's.
Price, upkeep (do I need a virus scanner on my xbox? Hell no!), new releases and other factors are the only things that seperate them.
And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

If you honestly think you need a virus scanner for PC you are not only less informed than you thought, but disillusional also.

The Halo francise is the most overrated bland game to ever hit the console market. It provides a bad name to all FPS that even showed effort at creating an original entertaining plot.
I probably have more ps3 games than you :/

Considering most 360 games only run 720HD if that, (480p is only 640x480) most PC's CAN run those easily.

Let pc gaming die in peace. PCs don't offer the comfort of consoles. People think pcs and they think work. Great buying so many games with so many deals. You know what it means when things are relentlessly sold at wholesale prices??? utter garbage. That speaks more for how moribund pc gamings' state is than how 'cheap' it is.
Not everyone can be computer savvy to fully take advantage of pc gaming. Overall the unlimited potential of the pc is ultimately also it's limitations. Do you want a machine made for various wide ranging tasks or a machine specifically designed for gaming??

If you think you can surf the internet with a windows or vista computer safely without it.. good luck.
And those are the only "cheap" computers so if you say Mac or linux so help me I'll slice your balls off.

I'm sorry but you are wrong. The scaling capabilities built into consoles is much greater than that in an LCD TV. Oh and good luck getting your LCD TV to upscale your computer's image. |
lol wut?
Of course an LCD TV will upscale a computer's image. However, I just run games at my monitor's native resolution. It looks SO much better than upscaled.

I want... both?
PC's do some things better, consoles do other things better. Get off your high horse.

Still a closed system. I could keep a PC for twenty years and play all those games the entire time if I kept the parts updated. That's not possible with the Xbox. I'm always going to have to buy the new one. |
I have couple box full of PC games in my garage that doesn't run on my current system anymore. And seriously keeping a tower size PC around from each generation just to play some of the game?? Let said 5 years from now when the next box come out, I probably can still pick up 360 for cheap and most likely the new system will be compatible. Heck, my Dreamcast still work well when I hook it up last week. I can't even play game just from few years ago on my current PC without downloading patch or mod.
