Forums - Microsoft - NATAL is the SHIZNIT!!!

@OP,

You do know that Nintendo, EA, and Ubisoft will be showing off Wii motion plus titles. Remember this device that makes the Wii remote one to one. Those "waggle" days are over. Maybe NATAL would have been much bigger last year but not now. Nintendo has raised the bar and NATAL as a controller falls under it.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

There isn't much to say about this thing at the moment, they didn't show any games for it and the tech demos point towards NATAL being not much more than Sony's Eyetoy with voice recognizition which wasn't very useful for anything that went beyond minigame compilations.

If NATAL were that great, Microsoft surely would have been able to demo at least one game for it. I mean, even Sony managed to show Warhawk when they unveiled the Sixaxis.

Great, it wasn't enough with the sony warriorzz now their nintendo brethren are joining the party.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

I was smiling all the way.

They were doing Buzz! without a pheriperal and playing it online. Brilliant!

1 - As mentioned before, too expensive. People without a console would still pick up a Wii instead.

2 - We still have yet to see how this would function with a standard game, like Halo. Do you point your hand like a gun and say BANG to shoot?

3 - It's really more of an eyetoy type function than a truly functional control system. What happens when you need to run? Backpeddle? Strafe?

Overall, it will only apply to select few games, not draw in the casual crowd its aimed at, and be ignored by the "core game" developers.

im skeptical. i highly doubt MS is the only ones who thought of this. im sure nintendo AND sony have something like this in the works. plus there really arent a whole lotta games you can play on Natal by the looks of it. what about Halo, CoD, GoW, ect. i dont think those will work without a controller.

lol I hope the OP isn't serious about loving this thing.

I hope I can push Milo in the lake.

So many PS3 fanboys in this thread. Oh well, it is to be expected when an innovative product is made by a competing console. I just wish they could accept this instead of trying to downplay it's potential

are you trying to tell me that you actually want to buy this thing for your 360? I sure as hell don't lol.

It's an impressive invention but if I want to talk with a little kid I'll ask my brother how he's doing. However I'm really impressed with the a.i. technology and am interested to see where it can be taken.
