Really? Yeah, because all the ugly ass gamers out there want to see themselves on TV. This will totally kill Wii!! ... sigh...

Another increadably ignorant and baseless statement.

Did I say anywhere...ANYWHERE, that this was going to "Kill" the Wii? NO I DID NOT!

You don't see yourself like you would in a freaking miror. You control an avitar, which I would assume you can change to fit the way you wish you looked. Xbox already has this feature.

Faith, that was a syntax error on my part, read my earlier post, I specifically said that NATAL "BLOWS anything the Wii has come up with out of the water."

I started watching the conference as soon as I got home from school, but I was late so I ended up turning it on in the middle of the Project Natal presentation. At first, the whole camera deal didn't appeal to me that much; honestly, I wouldn't waste my time painting a canvas. But I'm not going to lie, I was VERY impressed by the "Milo"presentation. Not the kid, but the concept. Just imagine how far this can go in the future.

Currently playing: Marvel vs. Capcom 3, League of Legends

OMG The overweight brigade will love this!! Now they dont even have to move their hands either! 20 stone x360 monsters ahoy!

"...the best way to prepare [to be a programmer] is to write programs, and to study great programs that other people have written. In my case, I went to the garbage cans at the Computer Science Center and fished out listings of their operating system." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

"Hey, Steve, just because you broke into Xerox's house before I did and took the TV doesn't mean I can't go in later and take the stereo." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.

""Windows [n.] - A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.""

I heard Steven Spielberg had a hand in the development of the Natal. It will be interesting to see if the Wii, with it's subpar controls, and the PS3 with barely any, will stand up to this. It looks like Microsoft can take over Nintendo with this.

Wii Motion + is going to sell at least 10 million units this year. Natal will be lucky to crack 1.5 million.

Keep dreaming!

And again, gotta love how you're all so happy to embrace the non-hardcore now.

I doubt that, but it will put a fair amount of pressure on the Wii. But really, we have to wait for Nintendo's E3 report.

wow im really impressed with the xbox Natal. And believe me i hate mothion controls but this might actually be awesome and wortwhile. M$ has way upped the ante it will be interesting to see if the PS3 and wii can even come close to this competition, What do you guys think about Natal? Will it be the next big hit or just a flop???

If you want motions controls get the Wii it's better than the Natal. How is the this different from the Wii remotes? This thing isn't awesome and worthwhile. People thought the Eyetoy was going to be awesome but it wasn't.

Oh, give me a break. This is not proven to handle a game like Metroid Prime 3 or even Wii Sports (how are you going to handle the button actions?).

Seriously? you gonna go down that road? Did I not, in the post you quoted, say that Microsoft had not unlocked it's true potential? As they work on this, they will find ways to eliminate the need for buttons, thus resulting in completely controllerless play for most games. Will it work well? Who knows. But it far surpasses the Wii, there can be no dispute. Sure the Wii may have sparked this, but then, it may not have. I had a similar idea back in early 2005...and I know I'm not the only one.

How can it far surpass the Wii if it isn't even known to handle some of the most basic games?

The Wii Remote has a lot of functionality. This Microsoft stuff copies some of it, adds some functionality the Wii Remote doesn't have but it also lacks things the Wii Remote has. So forget about your statement, it's simply not true.

How many times must I say this before you fanboys get it into your thick skulls? Microsoft has not perfected this, developed games for it, and has not unlocked it's full potential. Can the Wii do facial and voice recognition, can it do full body motion tracking? Can it alow you to accurately controll an avitar in a game the way Natal can? I think not, therefore your argument is worthless, and mine is full of win.
