Forums - Microsoft - NATAL is the SHIZNIT!!!

They went for it, to be original, this BLOWS anything the Wii has come up with out of the water. Who know what Microsoft can do with this, they obviously have not unlocked it's true potential yet.

Technology looks like it could be neat, it could be quite useful, however, all judgement should be reserved until it's actually in the hands of consumers.

This has the potential to be great, but also the potential to be the Newton's text recognition, or the PowerGlove 2.

That being said, the kids in the demo video creeped me out. They looked too damn happy. It was sort of like Leave it to Beaver meets the 360.

I sure hope that a 3 minute demonstration wasn't the things full potential.

Oh, give me a break. This is not proven to handle a game like Metroid Prime 3 or even Wii Sports (how are you going to handle the button actions?).

My Mario Kart Wii friend code: 2707-1866-0957

So now, after years of "I don't want to move my arms" arguments, you get motion control with no tactile sense, and you're all giddy as school girls. Nice.

This will do as well as the eye toy.

Seriously? you gonna go down that road? Did I not, in the post you quoted, say that Microsoft had not unlocked it's true potential? As they work on this, they will find ways to eliminate the need for buttons, thus resulting in completely controllerless play for most games. Will it work well? Who knows. But it far surpasses the Wii, there can be no dispute. Sure the Wii may have sparked this, but then, it may not have. I had a similar idea back in early 2005...and I know I'm not the only one.

Really? Yeah, because all the ugly ass gamers out there want to see themselves on TV. This will totally kill Wii!! ... sigh...

So basically ironman you're telling NJ5 that he is just guessing after which you start guessing yourself ?

I'll tell you a fact meanwhile, before first Natal is sold there will be more balance boards sold than 360's :)

I think it's brilliant.
You don't need a controller for many functions.
This could be implemented in tv's too.
