So what was the point of this thread? What have Square done? Nothing!

Well, they've just lied to everyone really. They said work wouldn't begin on the 360 version until the PS3 version was finished. It's not, and it was on 360 hardware. That's a lie.

Yes. Yes it is. But it's a lie I am happy about. Thanks to them not keeping up to their word and starting the work on 360 version earlier than planned we are now going to get the game during Spring 2010, that is earlier than expected and less than half year later from japanese release. And I can't see how any sense person, who cares about the game can see this "lie" as something negative.

FF XIII remains exclusive on PS3 in Japan. I do believe the NA/European release of the game will be simultaneous on XBox 360 and PS3 in Spring 2010. Sony's press conference will reveal all.
FF Versus XIII will remain a PS3 exclusive game.

Does anyone find it funny why NA PS3 owners will not get the PS3 demo(with the FF Blu ray) cause of issues of it being on the 360, but Square-enix just demo'd the demo running on 360 hardware? Why cant we both(PS3 and 360) get demos at the same time...like right now?

^I had never thought of that.

I miss ol' Squaresoft. They produced quality games, and made the FF series[well, 7-12 at least] exclusive to the PS. SE, on the other hand, simply is remaking games, and producing mediocre RPGS, mostly going to the X360.

IF 13 is timed exclusive on the X360, I don't know if I will be purchasing it.

To answer your question, the demo for the PS3 version alone was 5-6 GB. And since basically they are not the same game. You'd need about 10-12 gb to include both PS3 and 360 demo on the same disk. That won't fit on a DVD. It might fit on a bluray but 360 doesn't play bluray. The bottom line is it would need to be 2 DVD's. 1 for PS3 1 for 360. That wouldn't exactly be cost effective.

Couldn't they have just put a nice little sticker on the DVD versions  saying "xbox 360 demo included" and put the Blu-Ray version for the ps3. The PS3 owner wouldn't really need the regular dvd since they already have the blu-ray dvd..

How would.... lol I get it 360 owners would get shafted.

Square-Enix didn't do anything to the PS3 fans.

They showed more Final Fantasy at Sonys conference then they did at Microsofts.

Sony got a 3 minute trailer of all NEW footage of FFXIII. They still have exclusitivty of FFvsXIII, Dissidia was there, and hell FFXIV was just announced console exclusive! Oh and don't forget Agito!

How did they mess any sony fan over?

Okay, I will only consider FFXIV if it is a one time buy. I didn't get FFXI because I have to pay every month. Versus is still on debate until it comes out. Who knows, it might be JPN exclusive.

I don't see anything that say FFXIII won't be on the ps3 at the same time I don't think SE did anything to ps3 users

Wow FFXIV will be console exclusive to the PS3. It is not going to be on the 360.
