No online, then no its not worth it.

Its worth it, there are great single player games like Mass Effect and Fable 2. Gears of War 1 & 2 has good single player too.

This because xbox is boring to me without live.  I had to cancel it because the 360 broke.  I got it fixed and played it without live and it was boring.  I'm not saying it's boring for everyone just for me it is.

Online Multiplayer > Single player anyday. I think you shouldn't buy it.

It still definitely worth it without a gold membership. I have a gold account but I really only use it for playing a few games with my girlfriend when we're not together....stuff like Peggle, Culdcept Saga, Soul Calibur etc. I rarely play shooters and have over 50 360 games. I did do the Halo 3 campaign online with friends when that came out which was fun.

It's worth it for the exclusive RPGs and JRPGs alone IMO. RPGs are my favorite genre though.

Triple answer: Yes yes yes.

It's their RPGs and 1st/3rd person shooters that are drawing me in. The Wii just doesn't have enough games in those genres and to me it looks like the 360 rules both of those categories. I can't wait.
