Forums - Microsoft - What do you want from the XBOX 720?

For me it would have to be additional motion controls, as well as better hardware and graphics, and of course, new IP's.

And please, no trolling about the 720. I'm pretty sure that's not the final name, but it's a reference for now.

Hmm, probably to ditch the optical drive and use downloads/flash media.

Tease.

That's a good response. I didn't think of that. People could use Live as a source for their games to download, or you could just buy them on a flash USB drive, or something as small.

Halo 4 or Gears of War 3 at launch, eh?

Oh yeah and make sure the design isn't a DELL computer

Did you mean Gears of War 3?

Reliable hardware should be the first thing you think of in the Next Box. I want to see a lot more integration of live and avatars. Have something like Sony's Home just do it right ( no need to make them life like just use avatars). I would also like to see full web browsing, java support, continue netflix and maybe add hulu/youtube channels.

I would like to see blu-ray in the next box as long as it doesn't effect the overall price by a lot. I would rather have a top of the line GPU/CPU than blu-ray (if we had to choose). Starting price should be $299 for the cheap version $350 for mid and $400 for the top of the line model.

P.S. I hope they put in wifi this time just so people quit bitching about it. I would rather have a network cord running across the floor than use WiFi.

I doubt they would integrate Blu-Ray, because it belongs to Sony, which is their biggest rival in the gaming market.

@Squilliam

That would be fine for people who's xbox downloads dont count to their monthly download cap, but for me that would be terrible. If the average game is 8 or so gig, that would put a huge dent in my monthly limit.

I know in America theres some ISP that doesnt charge for xbox downloads, but as far as i know no companies in Australia have that option.

I want to see a xbox 720 in 2020 because I don't have money to another console and I think that the consoles of this generation are excelents and can do great things yet. This is all that I want to see, a big delay for the next generation.

Reliable hardware. It needs to bepowerful enough at launch to be able to play Crysis as well as today's most powerful pcs do for a fraction of the cost
