i was just thinking about how many series/games i missed out on the PS2, considering i was in my young teens at the time that the ps2 was in its prime. series like the MGS series, the GOW series, the persona series, etc. i never played because i didnt have $/interest at the time. i think a great way to get some cheap cash would be to put full SERIES onto bluray discs and re-publish them onto the ps3. i know i would buy all 3 of those series i listed above at a $60 price each if they were available to me on the ps3. i just dont like playing the ps2 anymore[all mine are dusty and slow and old], so i stick to my ps3, which isnt BC. its a real pain reading/hearing about great games but not being able to play them. anyway, it was just an idea to think about. i also realize that they might not do this simply because theyre trying to prolong the ps2s life, which i respect, but i also think this is real CHEAP cash they could make.
p.s. ALSO, another reason i wont play these on the ps2 is because that they are simply rare to find for cheap nowadays.
edit: i also missed much of the R&C, J&D, and sly series. and the socom games. theres just so many games that i[and i assume, a LOT of people] missed on the ps2 that i would easily buy a ton of series on a bluray disc if it was available.
