Mass effect 2 will go on PC too.
and there are big rumors of going the ps3 also.

there are no rumors of it going to PS3 anymore... also I find the idea of giving up my 360 for a PS3 or even vise versa perposterous.  Microsoft has several exclusive games that you can't play and Sony's PS3 has several exclusives you can't play on the 360... it's really stupid to choose one over the other.

i wont be choosing oe over the other, i will grab cheap 360 later on next year sometime for ME2 and Alan Wake.

im just choosing ps3 over 360 now for my everyday games, like cod etc

back in the day id have got one for gears 3, but im not super excited about that after two, like i was for two after 1

we'll see how it all shakes out, by the next day or two this will be done one way or the other way.

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

I've had 3 RROD on 2 different systems, but there is no way I am giving up on a system. A friend of mine has had 9 RROD. So there are people that have had a lot of problems. I would just call them up again, and tell them how many times this has happened. The warrenty is supposed to expand since your last repair.  Talk to a manager, and keep going up the ladder of people.

Bummer that anybody would try to slam Pyramid Head for griping...the fault here lies with M$...and the shortcuts they took to get the 360 on the market. Granted, it worked out for them, but the after effect is that loyal customers ( and somebody with 22K APs is a dedicatde user) will tired of this shit. They really need to do better on making sure people are taken care of...heck...they haven't EVER even release any info on how to reduce the likelihood of RRODs...

thats a REALLY good point.

i always would wonder if something i was doing would give me rrod, like id keep my room cool intentionally things like that.  there have to be things that make it likely, so why not let people know to help prevent it?  Precautions might have helped, but then maybe theyd be admitting the system is a flawed piece of machinery, more likely outside of the 30 percent of the launch, if certain criteria arent met.

they need to just admit it, and put up warnings and guides to help users.

in my research ive done online about this, i learned a ton of things about the system and its power supply etc, that i had no idea about.  things that may have helped me prevent this.  why were those things on forums and yahoo answers, and not on ms sites?  why do they post help videos online about how to change your gamertag (only ten bucks sigh), yet not things like how you should set up your power supply in your room, or where you should place your system.

because of this head in the sand attitude, i feel like there will be more and more people who just give up and go ps3 before the gen is over, becasue a LOT of you issue free guys, will face this shit, long before you play gears of war 3.

Verticle position, plenty room around xbox, high up on chair or table, and add more fans. Works for me so far.

Sounds like you love the 360 too much to let it go, so just follow your gut and buy a new 360 it should be worth the sacrifice for a fan like you. If my PS3 breaks I would buy another one or get it fix by Sony for any price, sound like we share the same passion for our system of choice. Good luck.

I understand how you feel.

I has 3 ps2s fail on me in 2 years.

That was some really crappy sony hardware early on

dude mine broke 13 times.... i dont wanna hear it haha

That just cant be true?! 13 times in 3½ years? You really have to put some effort into breaking the console 13 times in 3½ years :D

Well mine broke 12 times, so its not beyond possibility.

How the..

..thats like 4 times a year, and thats like one every third month. Thats madness!:D

You guys must be putting 360 near a stove.

In the microwave, actually...well, it IS the Microwave anyway. the 360 gets so hot when I'm using it that we just put aluminum foil and put popcorn on it.

It also makes a lovely 'X' shaped mark whenever I grill hot dogs on it.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

My X360 is an X-clamped RROD Elite. It's been running problem free since I did the repair. I've talked several people into doing this $20 fix on thier own systems. It works, it's cheap, and Microsoft does not kick you off live for repairing your system. They kick you off for modding the system to cheat online, or pirate games, not putting a clamp over your GPU.

Go do it, it's no harder than swapping a hard drive in a PC.
