Forums - Sony - DON'T Play the InFamous Demo

lol, angry fan...
sorry to hurt you, this is my opinion.

Btw, you get to blow up vehicle too in Crackdown, it just gives you more choices. You kill someone, you can take his gun. Again, more choices.

Free-Roaming in Infamous? LOL, at the start of the demo, try to go away from the train, go somewhere else... WHAT? You died instantly? Yeah, that's it. (Out of mission area).
What is the purpose of free-roaming BETWEEN missions if the game is all about missions?

Sorry, Infamous doesn't live up to the Crackdown quality level in my book.
I wanted to love this game, because I loved Crackdown so much. I was expecting the same sense of freedom... I was wrong.

You get most of the powers at their maximum level, and it kills the joy and sense of getting a new power in the full game (it feels like you're regaining recovering powers you lost).

Trust ther reviews and user feedback. The controls and shooting are very, very smooth, and the first boss fight was absolutely fun.

Next up, you will tell me not to drink the milk either... because it is spoiled (Google that reference and Little Rascals).

Anyhow, the demo sold me on getting the game.  The demo is timed, and also "unstable" in that your alignment jumps all over the place.

What bugs me about the full game is that, maybe I did something wrong, but work I did apparently got deleted.  I tried to go back to the city again, to start the mission, and then I quit, and don't save, saving during the game, and it reset BEFORE that mission.  Grr... all my random slaying of the gang members for XP got wasted.

If the demo was the maximum powers then you can count me out .

Just like the (horrid)Killzone 2 demo I felt this demo really failed to properly set up the storyline and pacing of the game like its supposed to be. I know it's a demo, but still it fails to give you the right feeling of the game, and doesn't ease you in like a games supposed to. They really need to just do the very begging of games for demos, these 'later level gameplay prieviews' don't really satisfy.

guys the demo doesn't even have over half the powers
