Forums - Sony - Games need separate platinum trophies for single player and multiplayer.

My only problem with online are the games that have the deep leveling systems.

They sound good and all but they're so inaccessible. If you didn't start the game within a few weeks of it launching you're just screwed. I've tried to get into the CoD4 and KZ2 multiplayer and I just can't because twats 20 level higher than me just destroy me right away.

It sucks for me because I can't match them in any way at all because I'm not that good in the first place and it just gives me no incentive to play again. True, I could keep playing until I get to their level or at least get to a level where I could get something decent, but dying over and over again isn't fun.

Err ???

KZ2 has games based on ranks so you can level fighting only players within a few levels of you.

Not mentionning the fact I started playing KZ2 online 2 weeks ago and it took me exactly a week to get max online rank ( max level to unlokc everything, there are more levels but they don't provide any bonus)...

So I really, really, really don't get the screwed comment. Did you actually even try to play the game before making the comment ????

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

I don't really aggree with the OP proposal and I don't always like multiplayers trophies but lets face it the majority of games without online trophies are so dead easy getting the platinum really isn't a test of skills ( there are some exceptions but not many).

It can be a pain for games with dead online community  ( I still plated Quantuum of Solace 6 weeks ago though, there are still games out there).

One thing to realize is for a game to have an active online community it needs to be good and there needs to be incentive  for players to keep playing again and again.

Leaderboards are a way to achieve this, trophies another.

And lets face it, I will dislike time consuming trophies for games I don't like too much but I actually enjoy them for games I enjoy, it gives me an excuse to play the game again and again..........( like Re5 definitly should have had some mercenaries related trophies !).

Hmm, perhaps I'm just horrible then.  :-p

The only platinum I have is for Resistance 2. But I got the platinum because I love the game and play it a lot. I am almost at 15000 kills, so that 10000 kills trophy that every bitches about isn't so bad.

Online trophies seem more worth it to me because you are competing with other people. There are corrupt cases though. Look at the new Riddick game. The trophy called "Winner level 3". You have to win 1000 matches!!! Judging by the sales of that game, I wonder if anyone has this or will ever get it.

My K/D ratio is only 0.81 so I'm hardly the best fps player out there too lol...

How come nobody still didnt answer my question?

Is it true that Sonic's Genesis collection is easy game to get platinium???

very easy. Some people say they have completed it in 2 days. so about 7 hours play time.

Bladeofgrass, be patient.

Being a high level in COD 4 doesn't really mean much aswell. Some of the easy kills guns you get very fast (like 2-3 hours playing MP).
