Forums - Gaming - 360 and PS3 system coolers and fans

Does anyone have any experience with these?  I fear my PS3 may have overheated and my new media center isn't as ventilated as my last one.

I thought I had heard something about some 360 fans melting or doing bad things but I wasn't sure.  Also, what ports do these things use up?

Thanks!

Well if its overheating because say the heatsink is coming away then you're screwed or in for a warranty repair. I think you'll be able to tell by placing your hand over the back of the console. If the air coming out is HOT and the airflow minimal you'll be able to fix it with a few well placed blasts from a compressed air can Tommy boy.

Tease.

Whichever the system, may I suggest you the use of a fanboy flapping a fan? He would be glad to cool your system for free.
...As long as you match fanboys of the right breed with each console, compatibility is of the essence...
