@sieaner thats all you think about brikcing his psp.

Dont homebrew on the slim psp because it will Brick dead in a matter of hours.

Get the daxter pack. And the silver psp. Awsome bundle.

Thanks for your help. I think Ill save up my money and pass up my firends offer. I am not planning on doing homebrew for another year anyway, and I am 90% sure homebrew will be up and running in a year.

Thanks so much you guys. 100% slim answers helps alot.

WTF? How does putting on cutom firmware cause it to brick hours later? Do you even realise how much sense that makes?

If you aren't a dumbass and can follow the directions properly, putting on homebrew isn't a problem.

I have the PSP phat and the load times are a bear. If the $50 and 3 games are no big deal to you, that memory stick is way to small to be of any real use, then I would get the new one. With the reduced load times on new games that is a giant advantage, in some games the load times are just a misery.

i saw a teardown of a slim and it looked to be alot more fragile than the old model, its only lighter becasue theyre using much thinner screens and have removed a large chunk of metal that provides internal strength,
As for the old psp being indestructible, maybe if you were on the moon.

PSP Slim is the way to go:

1.$200
2.1GB Memory Stick
3.Daxter
4.Family Guy Collection (only 4 videos I think I haven't watch them yet)
5.Faster Loading in games and on the Internet Browser
6.Light as can be, IMO lighter than the DS Lite, I compared them cause my sster has a DS Lite. When its in my pocket at work its light as possible, I forget its there(which can be bad is a good thing to know its not phat).
7. The screen is brighter and the audio is louder then the original PSP.

Pretty much that what sums up my PSP Slim key points that are awesome. Really should purchase the PSP Slim you won't regret it.
